Payday loan FAQ

Common questions

How much does a payday loan cost? +
Ontario caps the cost of a payday loan at $14 for every $100 you borrow, and that's exactly what we charge, nothing more. On a $300 loan for 14 days you'd repay $342 ($42 cost of borrowing, 365% APR).
When do I repay the loan? +
On your next payday. Terms run 7 to 31 days depending on whether you're paid weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly. The repayment is debited from the same chequing account we deposit into.
Can I cancel after signing? +
Yes. Ontario law gives you a two-business-day cooling-off period to cancel a payday loan at no cost. Questions about your rights? Contact Consumer Protection Ontario at 1-800-889-9768.
What if I can't repay on time? +
Call us before the payment date. We'll always try to work out an arrangement.
